Ingredients

Dates 2 each Pitted
Almond flour 1/4 cup 62,5 ml
Coconut flour 1 tbsp 5 ml
Maple syrup or honey 1 tbsp 5 ml
Coconut oil 1/2 tbsp 2,5 ml Melted
Vanilla extract 1 tsp 20 ml 
Balsamic glaze 1 tsp 20 ml  For drizzling

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, coconut flour, maple syrup (or honey), melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined into a dough.
  3. Press the dough into a tartlet pan or small tart pan to form the base of the tart.
  4. Place dates in the centre of the tart, pressing them slightly into the dough.
  5. Bake the tart for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden.
  6. Once baked, allow to cool slightly before drizzling with balsamic glaze and serving.
